mabanua is a Japanese drummer, producer, and singer who has definitely made his mark in the Japanese music scene in the past 10 years. A multi-instrumentalist who has collaborated with some of the biggest starts in the J-pop music scene, to some of the dopest rappers in the underground scene. His production catalogue exceeds well over 100 songs. Not only has he been indispensable in the music scene, he has been responsible for creating music for film, television, and anime. In addition, he has played with a number of overseas artists such as Toro y Moi, Chet Faker, Madlib, and Thundercat. As a member of the Japanese band “Ovall“, he has played at some of biggest festivals here in Japan.

Akil The MC(Jurassic 5)やEshe(Arrested Development)とのコラボが話題となったアルバム『done already』でデビュー。
2021年にはOrono (Superorganism) をフィーチャリングに迎え「Coffee Excess feat. Orono (Superorganism) & Lennon」をリリース、300万回再生を超える。
また、関口シンゴ、Shingo Suzukiと共にバンド、Ovall（オーバル）としても活動。
フランスの国民的HIP-HOPバンド、HOCUS POCUSやIAM、フィリピンの人気バンド、UDDのボーカルArmi、青葉市子、SIRUPなど世界中のアーティストを招き音源をリリース。さらにヒップホップグループ GAGLEとのコラボ GAGLE×Ovallや、田島貴男（Original Love）とのジョイントプロジェクトなど様々なスタイルのコラボレーションを展開。
FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 、GREENROOM FESTIVAL、RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL、Sunset Liveなど日本全国の大型フェスや、台湾、フィリピンなどアジアツアーも成功させる。
さらにビートメイカーBudamunkとのユニット”Green Butter“、 “Green Butter““、タブラ奏者 U-zhaan と共に “U-zhaan × mabanua”、ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION 後藤正文のソロプロジェクト “Gotch BAND”のメンバーとしても活動するなど数々のコラボを展開。
また、プロデューサー、リミキサー、ドラマーとして多数のアーティストをサポート、これまでに300曲以上のアレンジやプロデュースを手がける他「メガロボクス」「BNA」など数々のアニメ、ドラマの劇伴やTVCMも手掛ける。
